Summer evenings are my favorite time of year as the sun lingers longer in the sky, somehow using its warm glow to stretch time.
The light of this season reminds me of my childhood – my mother picking me up at noon from summer school, sandwiches packed for the beach where we would meet our friends under the hot Southern California sun.
The simple joy of racing into the ocean and swimming out beyond the waves. Then, afterwards, laying on the sand as the sun dried the water on my skin, the breeze lulling me into sleep with the rhythm of the waves. We would repeat this ritual daily until the sun began its drop into the horizon of the Pacific and it was time to go home.
Funny how all these years later those sunny days of carefree play still continue to inspire and remind me of my connection to the beauty of this planet. These pieces capture the summer glow I adore so much.

This mirror cut quartz was fashioned in Brazil to reflect the light back at the viewer. I love the way the rutilated strands criss cross inside this piece. The pendant hangs from a gold filled cut tubing and chain for a sleek look.
Rutilated Quartz Bar Pendant with White Sapphire
Set left to right instead of up and down this quartz bar is suspended from gold bezels on each side and a mirror box chain. The white sapphire sits asymmetrically atop the bar for juxtaposition.
